TikTok Sizzle
With automotive content booming on social media, Eastward created a retro-futuristic sizzle to show why TikTok is a must for auto marketers. Drawing inspiration from Tron-like visuals, we brought the TikTok Automotive story to life in a vibrant 2D neon world. The sizzle’s dynamic design uses perspective and neon elements to highlight how TikTok is shaping the future of entertainment marketing.
Concept & Approach
With a tight deadline, I couldn't dive into Cinema 4D to achieve the full Tron-like effect, so I turned to the Element plugin for After Effects. It was a game-changer, allowing me to create 3D scenes without breaking the workflow. Started by designing style frames infusing the TikTok energy with vibrant colors and neon elements that would help bring the retro-futuristic concept to life, built the storyboard and then moved on to animation 💨








Execution
As the one animator of this project, I took on the responsibility of bringing the entire concept to life. While there was a learning curve involved in mastering Element, I thoroughly enjoyed the process of experimenting and figuring out its capabilities. The biggest challenge arose when integrating UGC footage and ensuring it seamlessly aligned with the script/VO and camera movements. It required meticulous attention to detail to trim and synchronize the elements effectively. Despite the challenges, navigating this project was very rewarding, as it allowed me to expand my skill set and deliver an animation that met the project's objectives.
